In this article, the author focuses on democratic epistemology and challenges the Aristotelian model of means-only deliberation using examples from deliberative polls run by professor James Fishkin. He states that there are no independent standards for judging; the standards or ends are developed within the deliberations themselves, and more broadly throughout the life world of a political community.
