Abstract

Following last two years' workshop on dynamiclanguages at the ECOOP conference, the Dyla 2007workshop was a successful and popular event. As itsname implies, the workshop's focus was on dynamiclanguages and their applications. Topics anddiscussions at the workshop included macro expansionmechanisms, extension of the method lookupalgorithm, language interpretation, reflexivity andlanguages for mobile ad hoc networks. The main goalof this workshop was to bring together differentdynamic language communities and favouring crosscommunities interaction. Dyla 2007 was organised asa full day meeting, partly devoted to presentationof submitted position papers and partly devoted totool demonstration. All accepted papers can bedownloaded from the workshop's web site. In thisreport, we provide an overview of the presentationsand a summary of discussions.
