Abstract

0-Acylated N-alkylolamides 3 were prepared from the quinazolinyl-azides 1 by heating 1 in acetic anhydride. Cleavage of the ester moiety by acetic acid yielded the free alkylolamides 4. Possible reaction mechanisms are discussed. © 1982 Springer-Verlag.
