Abstract

This research program encompassed the development of a two-dimensional condenser model, which can be applied in a pressure surge analysis of cooling water systems. The model has been incorporated into the general computer program SIR+G, and verified by comparison with prototype data. Particular emphasis was placed on the modelling of vaporization within the condenser, the development of free surfaces, and the flow structure within the condenser tubes.
