Abstract

1. Two new species of the genus Periclistus are described from the specimens which were reared from the galls of Diplolepis japonica on Rosa polyantha. 2. Some remarkable biological differences between the two new species are reported. The morphology and the number of ovarian eggs are described and discussed. 3. Very interesting and peculiar phenomenon concerning the parasitic activity of the two new species is given with special reference to the galls of Diplolepis japonica produced on Rosa polyarztha and on Rosa rugosa.
