Abstract

Morgagni and Bochdalek hernias are two types of congenital diaphragmatic hernias that are commonly seen in the pediatric population. Although much more rare, they are also seen in the adult population in otherwise asymptomatic individuals. This chapter looks at the embryology, presentation, and surgical techniques for repair of these hernias in the adult population, specifically focusing on the minimally invasive approach to repair.
