This chapter reports the results of five evaluations of the CALLA conducted in different shcool settings with various content emphases...Results indicated that ELLs enrolled in CALLA classrooms made substantial progress in acquiring content knowledge and skills, English proficiency, and learning strategies. These results were sustained with successive cohorts of students.
