Abstract

Staying up late according to KBBI is that often a person does certain activities late into the night such as doing school or college assignments, studying, being addicted to online games, watching movies, and so on. become weak, health problems (depression, stress, heart disease, stroke, and diabetes), decreased hormone production, difficulty getting up early, and decreased ability to think. The habit of staying up late is commonplace for most people. The negative impact caused by frequent staying up late can be felt directly after staying up late. The results of observations made by researchers showed that most of the students at the Faculty of Public Health had a habit of staying up late. There needs to be awareness in every individual about the negative impact that is caused if you often stay up late, especially the impact on health. Therefore, the authors are interested in conducting research on the perceptions of students of the Public Health Faculty of UIN North Sumatra towards staying up late. This study aims to determine the perceptions of students of the Faculty of Public Health towards staying up late.
