Abstract

The paper is devoted to the problem of professional socialization of students. It is noted that the continuous process of upbringing and education, including the stage of study at the university, is fundamental for the effective socialization of young people. Universities are called upon to provide a wide range of compulsory and additional education for the professional development of future specialists. The paper gives a theoretical analysis of the sociological and pedagogical scientific sources on this issue. The aim of this paper is to identify the essential aspects of the professional socialization phenomenon. The approaches of observation, questioning, self-evaluation and pedagogical modeling have made it possible to identify the components of professional socialization of students, including readiness for mastering new professional knowledge, professional and intellectual activities, independence and the ability to interact in a professional environment. The authors singled out the criteria for the professional socialization of students, including psychological- motivational predisposition, conscious professional self-determination, social and professional adaptation and physical capabilities for the profession. From the authors' point of view, these criteria are most in tune with the notion of professional socialization; they suggest a person's compliance with social requirements for their age stage, personal qualities that ensure normative behavior and conflict-free integration of the individual in society. It is established that one of the important factors of professional socialization is physical education, including the most popular form of physical culture - fitness. The long experience of the authors of the paper made it possible to reveal the advantages of fitness as a kind of socializing motor activity. The results of the research proved that the emotional communication of youth in the process of fitness training, teamwork skills, positive motivation for a healthy lifestyle are the fundamental factors that shape students' personally important qualities that are the guarantor of the successful professional socialization of a young person.
