Abstract

Vestured pits in Pitheeellobium sensu lato were observed with the SEM. In both the pit chamber and on the pit aperture distinct types of vestures can be recognized. The quantity of vestures in both locations also varied. However, due to inter- and intra-species variation, the vesture types cannot be used to differentiate the many generic segregates of Pithecellobium. Introduction
