Abstract

The article presents a study which shows the integration of local binary patterns (LBP) feature information to a novel sea-land segmentation algorithm. The application of ship detection to optical remote sensing image processing is mentioned. The assessment of the performance of ship detection in terms of precision and false-alarm-rate is also cited.
