Abstract

Appropriate decisions-making for application or reversion of promotion is mainly based on essential information provided to the Human Resource Management (HRM). This is to ensure the continuity of excellence for academic staff in establishing and strengthening education towards the success of the universities. In addition, publishing is a core component in the evaluation of academic talent that is affected by the research, supervision, and conference at the local university in Malaysia. Therefore, this study aims to produce a model based on the main factors of academic talent using Association Rules. This study applies the Apriori Algorithm to identify a set of rules for the assessment of significant relevant talents for the promotion of academic staff in local University. The findings have successfully developed a model based on talent acquisition of knowledge related to the issuance and have been evaluated by comparing the guidelines for the promotion of academic experts. This knowledge helps to improve the quality of the evaluation process of academic talent management and future planning in the HRM.
