Abstract

Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory disease that affects the patients’ quality of life. In psoriatic patients, the quality of life is generally low due to multiple co-mor-bidities, treatments, stigma and misperceptions about this condition. Sexual dysfunction, in both women and men, is a comorbidity that may impact the quality of life of these patients, in addition to those listed above. Because the recognition of sexual dysfunction by the patient can be difficult and considered shameful, it is necessary for the family doctor to intervene to improve the sexual health of these patients.
