Abstract

The digital information and communication technologies have been increasingly affecting different areas of social life, including the educational one. In recent years, in different countries, the educational systems have developed programs and experiences intending to work this theme in different aspects. This article focuses on one of these proposals: the blend learning, considered as a broad perspective that can offer various alternatives and raise countless concerns. The text is structured in four sections. First, the presentation of the development of blend learning concept, as well as its different modalities. The second one focus on the inverted class, considered the gateway of blend learning. Thirdly, the discussion about the teacher role in this learning modality. Finally, the reflection on the challenges of blend learning to develop the education in a critical perspective
