Abstract
Lichen sclerosus et atrophicus (LSA) is a chronic inflammatory dermatosis that has a predilection for the anogenital region. Vulval and perianal lesions present as white papules or plaques. There may be associated pallor, atrophy, hyperkeratosis, or scarring. Extragenital lesions involve the upper trunk, axillae, buttocks, and lateral thighs. LSA is associated with vulval and penile squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). Cryosurgery has been used with success in the symptomatic treatment of LSA.
