Abstract

A causal neural control strategy is described for a simple "heaving" wave energy converter. It is shown that effective control can be produced over a range of off-resonant frequencies. A latching strategy is investigated, utilising a biologically inspired neural oscillator as the basis for the control. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2005.
