The advance of technology changes the way people read. Mobile Internet develops quickly. Digital publication grows swiftly. Reading terminal changes everyday. Readers get used to reading digitally through reading in a new environment. Things people read have become more and more fragmented. In order to adapt the change, libraries start to contribute more digital resources, to increase notification service, to use social media to promote, interact and share, to buildup mobile library, and to provide ubiquitous service on the basis of traditional service. The resource and the service of a library should be updated frequently to fit the way in which readers get information. © Springer Science+Business Media Dordrecht 2014.
