In this article I examine the Aristotelian definition of the human being as "political animal" in the light of the changes human condition has experienced in the last two centuries. Specifically, I make an interpretation of Aristotle based on Arendt'swork and an interpretation of Arendt based on Aristotle's work. Throughout this double critical review I suggest that we need to develop a bio-techno-political anthropology that avoids the dilemma between the metaphysical-theological dualism and the physical-biological monism.
