Abstract

A series of sixteen 1-amidoalkyl-2-naphthols derivatives were synthesized by one-pot multicomponent condensation reaction of b-naphthol with various aromatic aldehydes and amides under thermal (hot plate and oil bath) and microwave irradiation techniques promoted by pnitrobenzoic acid and the corresponding products were obtained in good to excellent yield (82-92 %) under solvent-free condition.
