Abstract

The need for sustainable land us, especially on agricultural land in the topics, has been recognized for a long time and was highlighted by the Earth Summit in 1992. The problem of land degradation from agricultural and livestock pressures received particular prominence for dryland Africa in the UN Convention to Combat Desertification.
