Abstract

(from the chapter) In this chapter, we review the existing literature on client, therapist, and treatment variables in evidence-based treatments for youth. We recognize from the outset that research in this area is just beginning to emerge and that part of our task will be to identify important questions for the next wave of studies. The chapter is organized into three sections; within each we focus on three of the most common referral problems--anxiety, depression, and disruptive behavior--as they relate to client, therapist, and treatment variables.
