Abstract

This paper details the approach chosen by Wismut GmbH (remediation of uranium ore mining legacies) to turn the existing remediation related groundwater monitoring network into what might be described as a network of key monitoring points to prepare for long-term monitoring tasks. Concepts and methods as well as procedures are exemplified for a specific site.
