Abstract

This article examines a practical case of the adaptation of strategies for online journalism teaching-learning at the university level, developed within the framework of an Educational Innovation Project funded by the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) (2018/2019). The project involved the collaboration of seven educators and 25 students from the Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul and Federal of Piaui universities of Brazil, the Beira Interior and Oporto universities of Portugal, and the University of the Basque Country, Spain, the promotor of the initiative. The study found that subjects in the field of online journalism constitute an area of didactic innovation with broad options for analysis and development based on the application in the classroom of strategies such as virtual cooperative work through approaches such as Project-Based Learning (PBL) and Internationalisation at Home (IaH). The case shows that the teaching of this specialty is converging in the Ibero-American sphere in classroom activities. In terms of the education of digital native students, important conclusions are reached regarding the advantages and disadvantages of these teaching methods.
