Abstract

Crystallization was studied on precipitated hydrous ceria with KF, LiCl, LiBr, K//2CO//3, LiNO//3, Li//2SO//4 and NaOH solutions under 100 MPa at 500 to 600 degree C for 24h. The KF and Li//2SO//4 solutions enhanced growth of un-doped CeO//2. The LiCl, LiBr and Li//2SO//4 solutions enhanced growth of ZrO//2-doped CeO//2. Calcination contributed to the hydrothermal growth of ZrO//2-doped CeO//2 with LiCl solution. Single crystals of un-doped CeO//2 and ZrO//2-doped CeO//2 were obtained by hydrothermal treatments with KF and LiCl solutions, respectively.
