Abstract

Data consistency is an important issue to mantain data integrity in a sequence of write-operations. Meta-data consistency management is an vital technology in implementing clustered storage systems. The lock mechanism is popular in this area. In this paper, we discuss the consistency mechanism in our LCFS systems. The traditional locking mechanism and the versioning-based consistency protocol are compared. ... © Springer-Verlag 2004.
