Abstract

This chapter traces the United States Regional Association of the International Association for Landscape Ecology (USIALE) evolution from and early relationship to the International Association for Landscape Ecology (IALE). This chapter describes the early meeting sites of IALE, and individual leadership that emanated from the United States during these formative years. © Springer Science+Business Media New York 2015.
