Primary hyperhidrosis, the etiology of which is not fully understood, is a condition that interferes with the patient's quality of life and has repercussions on social, professional, and educational activities. The affected regions are the hands, feet, armpits, and craniofacial segment. It has no gender preference and has as a characteristic that it does not occur during sleep. Primary hyperhidrosis affects the individual at various stages of life, but it is generally in adolescence that patients seek medical treatment due to the intensification of sweating induced by emotional factors characteristic of that period of life.
