An experience system using virtual reality (VR) devices and applying 360-degree panoramic formats for the experiential service of the vehicle is proposed. In this experimental study, the research goal is to analyze the effectiveness of using a head-mounted display (HMD) VR devices and applying 360° panoramic formats in eliciting positive user-perceived usability and to compare these to usability evoked in physical scooter ride settings. Data were collected from an experiment involving a total of 56 individual scooter commuters. The participants were asked to complete a System Usability Scale (SUS). The results verified that using a VR service may create an okay impression concerning usability. Furthermore, easy to learn, easy to use, and confident play a big part in positively influencing user’s perception of VR service usability. Based on these results, a VR service may be used as an experienced tool to create reality-like scooter riding experiences for users.
