Abstract

This paper summarizes the results of the field trial that successfully completed the METEOR consortium, IST-1999-10402. We demonstrate a survivable metropolitan optical network accommodating line rates of up to 40Gb/s at 100GHz channel spacing. © 2005 Optical Society of America.
