Indonesia is a very diverse country in inheritance law. Inheritance law in Indonesia is currently based on the Civil Code, Islamic Law and Customary Law. Inheritance laws based on custom is very diverse depending on the nature of their territories. The Timika people, especially Papua itself adheres to the patrilineal kinship system, which in the system draws lineage from the father's side, as well as the inheritance law. The purpose of this study was to find out how the distribution of inheritance in the patrilineal inheritance system, and whether girls would get inheritance in the patrilineal kinship system. Besides this writing is also to find out how to resolve disputes in the implementation of the distribution of inheritance. The results of this research are that the distribution of inheritance can be carried out by means of grants and wills, and girls have the opportunity to continue to get inheritance rights from their parents. Dispute resolution in the distribution of inheritance can be resolved as a family.
