Abstract

Fluoroscopic navigation systems allow localization of the position of a surgical instrument relative to the anatomy of the patient [1, 2]. By superimposing the instrument's geometry onto fluoroscopic images, the surgeon can follow live the progression of the intervention. © Springer Berlin Heidelberg 2006.
