Abstract

The emergence of nanotechnology has already had a groundbreaking impact in biomedical research. In recent years, there has been significant interest by researchers to use nanotechnology to treat various oxidative stress-related ailments. We have seen a paradigm change in delivery methods of natural antioxidants for the treatment and prevention of various diseases. The use of nanotechnology to deliver natural antioxidants is highlighted, and current and future prospects of nanotechnology are briefly discussed. © Springer Science+Business Media, New York 2013.
