Abstract

This paper explores institutional design strategies which promote compliance and civic virtue. More specifically, I try to find kinds of design of laws, policies, by-laws, etc. which direct agent's behaviour toward common good and promote the development of motivations in the same direction. I expose the proposals by I. Ayres, J. Braithwaite and P. Pettit. Paper concludes analyzing some limitations and dimensions which need to be developed of these proposals.
