Abstract

This paper conducted an empirical study on the application of emerging moving image technology to protect the insular characteristic culture. Global homogenization is becoming increasingly severe in contemporary society, due to the lack of protection and inheritance of the island culture, which may lead to the culture fading over time. Therefore, it is important to appeal the public to pay more attention on inheriting this kind of culture through the emerging moving image. The core method of this paper is experimentation exploring how to inherit and develop the island culture through the moving image technology with dissemination capacity. This paper focuses on Changhai County, the only island border county in Northeast China, and explores the application of the emerging moving image technology including the techniques of Motion Graphics, Cinema graph and Augmented Reality in the protection of island culture.
