Abstract

In next-generation wireless networks, mobility management protocols to support global roaming are highly regarded. These technologies bring a broader life using a global roaming account through the connection of multiple devices to mobile users and provide real-time multimedia services. This paper presents a comprehensive performance analysis of the hierarchical mobility management protocols. This result represents that network-based mobility management protocols are more excellent rather than typical host-based mobility management protocols in mobility environment. © 2014 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
