Abstract

The paper addresses academic advising - an important issue that is often not given enough attention by students and advisors alike. An online advising system is presented that can be utilized by students, advisors, and course timetable planners. Students are given informative advice on which courses to register for in the next semester and are informed of their remaining graduation requirements; advisors are able to see students' progress towards their graduation requirements; and timetable planners are given statistics on courses and sections requirements for the coming semester. © Springer Science+Business Media B.V. 2010.
