Abstract

A theoretical model is presented analysing the effects of wall permeability on the steady motion of a semi-infinite bubble advancing into a planar, flexible-walled, fluid-filled channel. Weak permeability is shown to have a profound influence, eliminating in particular the minimal yield pressure required for steady motion in an impermeable channel. © 2001 Kluwer Academic Publishers.
