Abstract

B cells and humoral immune response decline in elderly individuals. Age-related changes in B cell commitment and development include decline in frequency of precursors. Recent studies showed a remarkable decline in pre-B cell numbers in aged mice without decrease in the number of mature B cells. This chapter briefly reviewed B cells changes during ageing.
