Abstract

We present several refractive index profiles for perfect imaging with positive refraction other than Maxwell's fish eye. Numerical simulations show that these profiles may transfer images with, in principle, unlimited resolution. Such profiles could overcome the fundamental limitations of perfect imaging with negative refraction and find practical applications in nanolithography. © 2010 American Institute of Physics.
