Abstract

Information technologies have evolved into an essential tool for modeling, assessment and support in any domain requiring decision making. The paper presents an approach towards decision making in complex environmental systems. In the article, the authors review the main characteristics of complex systems and offer their general approach for decision support system creation based on the multi-agent systems paradigm. An example of the general approach applied to composite complex systems is described.
