Abstract

An efficient and eco-friendly approach for the synthesis of aurones including hydroxyaurones and their methyl ethers has been achieved directly from substituted 2-hydroxyphenacylchloride in a single pot just by grinding with aryl aldehydes using activated barium hydroxide as solid base and support. © 2014 The Author(s).
