Abstract

A biometric is a permanent property of a user and if compromised once, it is compromised forever. Moreover, the same biometric is generally used by the users in various applications, which makes access to the biometric template easy. In this paper, we present a method to generate multiple cancelable templates of user's fingerprint by transforming it using user's handwritten characters or other drawing codes. These templates can be altered by changing the drawing code to generate more, if one is compromised. © 2012 Springer India Pvt. Ltd.
