Abstract

We developed new HD remote lecture systems, which connected many universities in Japan. People can use this system easily, because people should only reserve the system through the web, then a system starts in eservetion time and sets the equipment automatically. Thus, this system can reduce a burden of a user. This system is a beginning in Japan, as for the remote lecture using a high-definition picture connected Japanese universities from the north to the south. We are expanding the system and total connection nodes number is over 36. We connect rooms nearby by this system and create some virtual big room. It is useful to connect not only the remote rooms but also neighborhood rooms together. © 2011 Springer-Verlag.
