Abstract

A growing number of studies that are founded on such socio-cognitive views have been undertaken in the past decade. Socio-cognitive approach attempts to compromise between the communication from pragmatic view and that from cognitive view, and has a strong inclination toward a dialectical approach. Not only is communication an intention-directed practice, but it also displays an attention-oriented traits. And socio-cognitive approaches attempt to make them closer. The paper is not in attempt to elaborate the difference between pragmatic and cognitive view of communication but to elucidate the shared feature of them in favor of socio-cognitive paradigm. © 2013 ACADEMY PUBLISHER Manufactured in Finland.
