This paper will present literature reviews on game development-based learning and its application in education field. The analysis and findings from the survey on user’s perceptions on applying game-based learning in education, their interest in game development courses and their perception of game development-based learning will be discussed. The specific features of game development tool are also evaluated and rated by the respondents.
