Aspects of the dynamics of the residual circulation of the Arabian Gulf.

Abstract

Two analyses to estimate the residual circulation of the Arabian Gulf were undertaken. The first involved statistical analysis of data on ships drifts collected by the British Meteorological Office. The second involved a description of this observed residual flow in terms of the dynamical forcing present. Results of both analyses are presented. (T.R.A.)
