Abstract

Attempts have been made to synthesize nickel titanate (NiTiO3) using dissolution of nickel and titanium. The powders obtained by calcinating the mixture corrosion products at a temperature more than 873 K was identified as NiTiO3 by XRD analysis. The NiTiO3 powders which obtained after the calcination at 1473 K had the diameters from 0.4 to 6.5 μm, and a median of the size distribution of 2.3 μm. Preparation of NiTiO3 using corrosion synthesis is discussed from the viewpoint of electrochemistry.
