Abstract

Conventional vehicle development was mainly about designing and testing mechanical and electro-mechanical components. But over the last decades, cars have become complex systems of E/E systems (electrical and electronic systems), and electronics and software development have been integrated into automotive development processes. This chapter describes both the technical structure of automotive E/E systems and their development processes.
