Abstract

Odontogenic tumours and tumour-like lesions constitute a group of heterogeneous diseases that range from hamartoma-tous or non-neoplastic tissue proliferations to benign neo-plasms to malignant tumours with metastatic potential. They are derived from epithelial, ectomesenchymal and/or me -senchymal elements of the tooth-forming apparatus. Odonto -genic tumours are rare, some even extremely rare, but can pose a significant diagnostic and therapeutic challenge.
