Abstract

In this issue of Blood, Marx et al used genetic and pharmacologic approaches to demonstrate a role of eosinophils in mouse models of atherosclerosis and arterial thrombosis.1 In addition, analysis of thrombi from patients with acute myocardial infarction or stent thrombosis revealed that the highest numbers of eosinophils in stent thrombi are found in female patients.
